It has been announced that Ann Augustine’s comeback movie Auto Rickshaw Karante Bharya has finally been released through OTT platforms. The film, which also stars Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead role, is directed by veteran filmmaker Harikumar and penned by noted writer M Mukundan.

It was released in theaters last month, based on the eponymous novel by Mukundan. The family drama revolves around a lazy autorickshaw driver, played by Suraj, and his wife, whom she attempts to motivate, and it is based on Mukundan’s eponymous novel.

During the next couple of months, there will be three new movies released by Suraj Venjaramoodu. These movies will be Jana Gana Mana, Pathaam Valavu, and Heaven (2022). Today, the first official trailer for Auto Rickshaw Karante Bharya, the new movie starring this great actor, has been released.

It is an old-school take on the life of its couple – Sajeevan and Radhika – which includes Ann and Suraj as well as Janaradhanan, Swasika Vijay, Sunil Sukhada, and Kailas in pivotal roles.

There are a few incidents that take place in the movie that occurs in Mahe when Radhika is forced to take charge of her family’s life and become an autorickshaw driver. Things, however, take a turn when she is involved in a car accident.

In the featurette, Ann plays an important role in the segment Kadalkattu, directed by Kammarasambhavam and Theerpu filmmaker Rathish Ambat.

As a recent addition to his role in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Mukundan Unni Associates, he has also been cast in Bash Muhammed’s upcoming movie Ennalum Entaliya and Sudheesh Gopinath’s Madanolsavam, scripted by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval, who directed Nna Thaan Case Kodu. Rajesh Madhavan and Babu Antony also play pivotal roles in this film.
