The gruesome brutality, evil grins and dark humour still persist in this release, but the carefree twenty-something young individuals are now replaced by a single mother and her three children.

STORYLINE:

Ellie is a struggling single mother, taking care of her three children: Danny, Bridget and Kassie. They will be in an old building soon to be demolished. On a dark and stormy night, Beth who is Ellie’s sister takes some time off her schedule and visits Ellie in Los Angeles. That night, a cataclysmic earthquake causes a massive rupture in the parking lot which unveils an ancient tome, a record album and some relics.

Kids being kids, Danny inquisitively searches the hole and finds the unveiled book named The Book of the Dead. The record, once played, leads with a vocal chanting of the text from the book. With this, the seal of the veil was broken, causing the unleashing of a demon. The first victim of the demon is Ellie who was returning from the market. Possessed Ellie, heads upstairs, launching a frenzied assault on the family.

She wreaks havoc in the apartment building, while her sister and offspring struggle to survive and vanquish the horrid flesh-possessing demon that has beset them. Soon, Bridget falls prey to her demonic force and joins possessed Ellie in viciously attacking her kin.

Beth and Kassie somehow manage to escape the building, plunging down the elevator. However, they are again attacked in the parking lot with a chainsaw. In a turn of events, Beth takes hold of the chainsaw and pushes the demon into a wood chipper, shredding it to pieces.
