ABOUT THODELU MOVIE:

Thodelu is the Telugu dubbed version of the Bediya movie which is scripted and filmed in Hindi. It is a blend of fiction, comedy, horror and romance genres and has a good amount of VFX. It was released in cinemas in India on 25 November 2022. After Stree and Roohi starring Varun Dhavan, it will be his third debut in a comedy-horror movie. The Telugu dub is done neatly.

STORYLINE:

The storyline of Thodelu or Bediya is based on a folklore story of werewolf in hill stations of Arunchal Pradesh.

Varun plays the role of Bhaskar, an engineer who goes to Arunachal Pradesh to construct a road after the contractor he works for, wins a bid. Bhaskar is joined by his cousin Jana. As you would assume in such a work, much of the public gives them a tough time clearing the site for construction. After negotiating with inhabitants of the area, Bhaskar while on his way to the hotel that he is staying in, gets bit in his buttock by a wolf. He soon discovers that he is turning into a werewolf and is responsible for murders.

A Subhas tells me that the only way to be cured is to get bitten by the same wolf. While waiting for the wolf to appear, they discover that Dr Anika, the local veterinarian, is the shape-shifting wolf who has been protecting the forest and killing those who try to harm it. However, she is captured by the police, and Bhaskar transforms into a werewolf to rescue her but fails to save her life. Bhaskar decides to construct roads around the borders of the forest, leaving the trees unharmed. In a mid-credit scene, Bhaskar transforms into a werewolf in front of his long-lost friends, leaving them terrified.
