Iratta movie hit the theatres in Kerala on 3rd February 2023 and outside Kerala on 17th February 2023. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat – such is the intensity of suspense in the screenplay with a traumatic backdrop and pivoting climax. It highlights the issues, turmoil and emotional tolls faced by police officers which receive the low-to-no spotlight in our societies. STORYLINE:
The plot revolves around two twin brothers who are emotionally distant due to their childhood trauma. Both of them are serving the police department. The story commences with the investigation of the murder of ASI Vinod in suspicious circumstances who is the twin brother of DySP Pramod.
The three suspects in the story are also police officers, known for their immoral characters, who developed animosity for ASI Vinod over the years of police service. As the story progress, we get to see that the suspects’ alibis check out and the death of Vinod was rather a suicide.
Upon further investigation for the motive of suicide, DySP Pramod finally finds out that it was the burden of guilt that led Vinod to take his own life.
