The movie Enkilum Chandrike presents a mildly-crafted comedy in the charming setting of a rural village, masterfully narrated by the writers Arjun Narayanan and Adithyan Chandrashekar. They skillfully weave a humorous story without indulging in any unnecessary details and adhering to the main plot while delivering rib-tickling moments.

STORYLINE:

The thirteen years old long-held clandestine love affair between Chandrika and Abhi foresees collapse as Chandrika’s parents have arranged her marriage, bounding them to separation soon. However, Abhi’s friend conjures a plan, they take it upon themselves to avert this from happening. They strategize the best way forward as tarnishing the groom’s reputation to sabotage the marriage.

Little did they know, another member of their rural club, Pavi Chettan, also harbours an affection for Chandrika’s elder sister and is entreated by her to thwart the wedding and save her sibling’s love. Thus, ensues a comedic farce of miscommunications and mishaps, as the two factions collaborate to break up the union, yet are hesitant due to their previous association with the groom.

Amidst these shenanigans, the skilled actors, including Maniyanpilla Raju, deliver moments of mild hilarity that add to the overall amusement of the tale. Although the film’s title suggests a focus on Chandrika, the actresses Niranjana and Tanvi Ram, who portrays the elder sister, have limited screen time

The lead characters of Enkilum Chandrike movie are the members of the Sumalath arts club, led by the single-soul Pavithran, and his friend Abhi who yearns for unreciprocated love with Chandrika.
