ABOUT MOVIE:
It is yet another Southern movie with a thoughtful message. The cinematography is set in the years 1995, 2009 and 2016 in Veerlapally. It is one of the towns that is afflicted with alcoholism, exploitation, poor governance and domestic violence and the menaces of revenge, desperation and vendetta that follow it.
STORYLINE:
In the rustic charm of Veerlapally settlement in Telangana, we have introduced a character named Dharani, a young and rebellious coal thief, living with his grandma and has two trusted friends – Suri and Vennela. The inhabitants of the village are entangled in alcoholism and vendettas. Dharani has been sheltering fondness for a young girl named Vennela since his childhood but he soon realizes that she is in love with Suri. Dharani facilitates their marriage despite Vennela’s mother opposing it.
Suri gets a job at Silk Bar after winning a bet on a local cricket match against Chinna Nambi. Despite winning the bet, Chinna creates a ruckus and gets Suri and Dharani arrested. Tragically, Suri and his companions get slaughtered on the day of his wedding. Dharani embarks on an investigation seeking retribution and soon discovers that Chinna was the man behind the murder of Suri. The motivation behind the murder was Chinna’s desire to marry Vennela.
Dharani marries Vennela to protect her from Chinna and seek revenge by killing Chinna. He is apprehended, and later burns down the bar to burn down the demons that alcoholism gives birth to.
